China Forbes, lead singer of the world-renowned Pink Martini and winner of the Ella Fitzgerald Prize at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, delivers 11 new original songs on The Road, the first solo album she’s released in 15 years since her last album ‘78. Pared down and intimate, The Road beautifully intertwines a staggering breadth of experience with a breath of fresh air. China’s new album finds her standing with a wealth of wisdom at her back, using her velvet voice to take listeners on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and, ultimately, acceptance.
